This work deals with the development of hydraulic turbines, where we develop an analysis for the model selection of the axial turbines of the family A-1.
In this work we explain some methods of turbines selection, dealing with the standardizing criteria of the hydraulic turbines. These methods allow us to select the right model family that will satisfy the hydro energetic needs.
Throughout this research we can select the right equipment according to the characteristic of the place in which the turbine will be installed. Also the relationships between some criteria of selection are shown.
